For legal advice in St. John’s with any of these forms of law, please contact Perry & Power. We can go over your case to determine the best way to proceed.
We generally charge for legal work on an hourly rate basis. In keeping with our desire to provide quality legal services at reasonable prices, our hourly rate is very competitive and we do our best to minimize the time spent on your matter to keep your cost down.
We will usually quote a fixed fee for some types of work, such as buying, selling, or refinancing property, or preparing personal documents like a will or power of attorney.
We like to offer flexibility to allow you to pursue a matter that might otherwise be too costly. In some cases, we might be able to work on a contingency-fee basis, where you pay a percentage — agreed-upon in advance — of the money we collect for you.
There are some instances when other costs to consider are over and above our legal fees, such as disbursements or out-of-pocket expenses. Legal fees and disbursements are subject to 15% HST.
We invite you to discuss the appropriate fee structure before you engage our services.
